Our lab is now equipped with three state-of-the-art specialized Deep Learning (DL) workstations, each installed with multiple RTX3090 and RTX6000 GPUs. These workstations were purchased from Lambda Labs; a hardware company specialized in configuring and selling DL equipment.
The configurations of our DL workstations are as followed:
- Zeus is the most powerful of the three (hence the name Zeus!). It is a quad RTX6000 GPU setup linked with NVLink, AMD Threadripper 3990X 64 cores CPU, and 256GB of RAM.
- Apollo is a dual GPU setup. Although it falls behind Zeus with two GPUs, there is no sacrifice in what it can accomplish as its GPUs are RTX3090s, which are a generation newer than Zeus’s RTX6000. It has the same amount of RAM on board, but its CPU is an AMD Threadripper 3970X with 32 cores and 128 MB cache. However, its CPU is clocked at 3.70 GHz comparing to Zeus’s 2.9 GHz.
- Artemis is Apollo’s identical twin sister.
The HASEL DL gods and goddess enable us to build very complex and deep architectures, which boost our capabilities to be more successful in completing challenging projects and increase their impact significantly.
We are looking for new HASEL members to join our team to help us solve real problems our communities face using deep learning and software engineering techniques and methods. Head to our projects page to see the interesting problems the HASEL team is currently wrestling with, and get in touch if you are interested in joining our growing team.
