In October, the government released a discussion document, ‘Towards a Digital Strategy for Aotearoa’. The document outlines three key themes, Mahi Tika: Trust, Mahi Ake: Growth, and Mahi Tahi: Inclusion. The Veracity Lab hosted a series of discussions, one on each of these themes, exploring how the digital strategy can reposition our digital future.

When thinking about our digital future, what does an inclusive digital world look like? Dr Kelly Blincoe presented her thoughts on this topic, followed by an open discussion. Below is the recording from this event.

You can find the recordings of all of the discussions at https://veracity.wgtn.ac.nz/#engage.

The Veracity Lab community also made a submission to the Digital Strategy for Aotearoa consultation, titled ‘Within our reach: Becoming a global leader on a values-based and human-centred approach to digital technologies for a fair, just, and equitable digital future.’ You can read it at: https://veracity.wgtn.ac.nz/resources/dsa-2021-submission.pdf
